Investor news
Following recent government reforms and the modernization of the Limbe refinery (SONARA), E.M.E. HOLDINGS is exploring downstream opportunities including a modular refinery unit in Douala. The new hydrocarbon code opens doors for private off-take agreements and local processing of crude from the Logbaba field.
Sector updateIn line with the government's strategy to decentralize refining capacity, the group plans a 5,000 bpd modular unit (investment ~100M XAF) to produce diesel, heavy fuel oil, and bitumen for the domestic market. Construction expected Q1 2027.
Press releaseStrong performance across all sectors; manufacturing and logistics post double-digit growth. Refinery-related services anticipated as a new vertical.
Financial updateFacility to support regional distribution expansion and pre-financing for crude oil product imports until local refining ramps up.
